Traveling Spirits of St. Philip Catholic Church

Mission Statement

The Traveling Spirits Ministry provides St. Philip parishioners and their families and friends* opportunities to go on pilgrimages to nourish their Catholic faith and to deepen their relationship with God.

Becoming a Pilgrim in Today’s World

It’s common to be a traveler in today’s shrinking world.  Hop on a plane and land in Ireland.  Hop off a cruise ship and disembark in South America.  Even pack a car and end up on a coast or Canada! Being a traveler, as wonderful as that may be, is not the same as being a pilgrim.

Pilgrims don’t travel; pilgrims “journey.”  Pilgrims take journeys to holy places to hear God’s whisperings more clearly and to see more vividly a path through the everyday.  Pilgrims who have “journeyed” to holy places rarely return the same.

We hope you choose to become a pilgrim in today’s busy world.  It will make a difference in your life!

Future Pilgrimages

Yearly pilgrimages are being planned for St. Philip parishioners and their families and friends.  The 2020 pilgrimage will be to Portugal, France, and Spain and include Fatima, Santiago de Compostela, Lourdes, and Barcelona.  Some future pilgrimages include Walking in the Footsteps of Paul, Catholic Ireland, and the Holy Land.

*St. Philip parishioners and their families have priority if space is limited
