In the same way each of us asks friends to pray for us, Catholics ask our revered saints and the Virgin Mary to present our prayers before the throne of God.According to Catholic tradition, in the year 1214, the Blessed Virgin appeared to St. Dominic to instruct and implore him to pray the Rosary for the conversion of sinners. Mary has appeared numerous times pleading the faithful to pray the Rosary daily.The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to 70,000 believers and non-believers, alike, in 1917 at Fatima, Portugal imploring all to repent and return to union with the Church as the "Miracle of the Sun" was performed.
During the "Miracle of the Sun," the sun "spun around in a mad whirl," according to one observer. It began to shine in different colors, which in turn cast purple, yellow and other hues across the entire landscape. Occasionally it would seem to lunge towards the earth, causing people to cry out in fear. The miracle was not only seen by the people of Fatima, but was observed by countless others dozens of miles away.
During Mass in Buenos Aires on August 18, 1996, a consecrated Host was found, placed in water and reposed in the tabernacle. Eight days later the Host had turned to bloody flesh. After three years, then Cardinal Bergoglio (Pope Francis) ordered that a fragment of the Host, which showed no signs of decomposition, be sent to New York for analysis. It was found to be LIVING heart muscle from a man who had been severely beaten about the chest.
In the year 700 AD in Lanciano Italy, a priest who had been struggling with his faith in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist was at the moment of consecration during Mass when the Host transformed into real human flesh and blood. Even though the tissue has been poorly sealed for centuries, it has remained preserved for well over 1,200 years. Examinations conducted in 1970 found that it was heart muscle from a LIVING human with AB positive blood.
