Adult Faith Formation
Adult Faith Formation aims to engage the particular needs and interests of our adults at St. Philip. To be faithful and effective we strive to offer, over time, a comprehensive and systematic presentation and exploration of the core elements of Catholic faith and practice—a complete initiation into a Catholic way of life. Our goal is to do so in a way that is accessible to adults and relates to their life experiences, helping them to form a Christian conscience and to live their lives in the world as faithful disciples of Jesus. At St. Philip, we utilize the following programs and resources to achieve this ideal.

Adult Faith Study
Don Stacy
AdultFaithStudy@StPhilipMinistries.com
The Adult Faith Study class is open to all adults of the parish and is based on the premise that – upon being Confirmed – we do not stop growing in the Catholic faith or pursuing holiness. The overarching goal of the class is grow closer to God through prayer and greater knowledge of the Catholic faith. This is accomplished by exploring both traditional elements of the Catholic faith and contemporary Church teachings. We also discuss current events as they relate to the Catholic Church. The result is a deeper connection with God and the universal Church and a fuller living of our Catholic lives. The class meets weekly from September through May. Childcare is provided. This ministry is open to the members of St. Philip who are willing to become part of the facilitating team or would like to be a sponsor for non-Catholic individuals. Meetings for those seeking to learn more and the sponsors are held year round. Team members provide support as catechists (teachers), sponsor contact, hospitality ministers and other roles as needed.
