Why be a Knight?

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization. Founded in the United States in 1882, it is named in honor of Christopher Columbus. There are close to 2 million members in over 15,000 councils.

Knights are Catholic men, 18 years of age and older, who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church. Being a Knight is more than camaraderie; it is being involved with your community; it is supporting your local Catholic Church, while enhancing your own faith; it is about protecting and enhancing your family life.

Make a Difference, Get Involved, Join the Knights!

Thinking of joining the Knights, please consider joining us for a meeting to check us out. Currently the Knights are running a promotion so that, you can use Promo Code “BlessedMcGivney” and join for free. We are always looking for active men looking for a place to grow your faith through service. We meet every third Thursday at 7pm in the activities center. We usually meet at 6:30pm, prior to the meeting, for a catered dinner and social 1/2 hour, cost is only $20.

Get Re-Involved

Perhaps you just moved here or get busy every time you consider transferring your membership. Well, it is an easy process and well worth the effort. Council 7764 is very active, social, and happy to have you join. The process is to down load this form, fill it out to the best of your ability, sign it, and send a copy to stphilipknights@gmail.com. Keep the original as we will need it. In the meantime, you are welcome to join us while your paperwork goes through. We meet the third Thursday of every month @6:30pm in the activity center of the church. Most masses have an usher or two that are knights. Many of us wear our blue name badges. Congratulations! Council 7764 Earns the 2023-2024 Star Council Award!

Worthy Brother Pittman,

Congratulations!

Council 7764 has earned the 2023-2024 Star Council Award, recognizing excellence in program activity, membership growth (100% of quota), insurance promotion, fraternal reporting, and Safe Environment compliance.

During this challenging year, your council adapted and continued to stand in the breach, serving your brothers, families, parishes, and communities. The Supreme Council is pleased to recognize these achievements and acknowledge the hard work of you and your brother knights.

Your council’s award plaque will be shipped to your District Deputy for presentation. Production and delivery of awards is currently estimated at 10-12 weeks. Additionally, to help celebrate this accomplishment and promote your council, attached please find a bulletin announcement and press release for your use. These are great tools that will highlight your good works in the community.

There is still much to be done and we need your council to lead the way. Keep the momentum going and start planning now for another successful fraternal year! The new 2022-2023 Star Council requirements, which can be found at KofC.Org/Star, will help guide your council to excellence in the year to come.

Thank you and Vivat Jesus!

Fraternally,

John Moulder

Our Impact In the Community

Our Missions

This Man is You (TMIY)

Come join men of faith each Saturday in the St Philip Activities Center from 7:00-8:30am to enrich your faith with 30-40 men who are also looking for answers. We open at 7am with coffee and fellowship. At 7:30 the meeting begins with a 30 minute video. Then we spend the last 30 minutes discussing the topics at hand. It is a great program to meet men who are open about their experiences and the challenges of their faith. The program is run by knight Ismael Fierra and his team. You do not need to be a Knight or Catholic to attend. There is no cost other than your time .

We Want God!

The We Want God! evangelical mission was started by individual donors and the Knights of Columbus, St. Philip the Apostle council. Please search through the website for the story and how to get involved.

Insurance

The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal benefit society, which means we can provide financial security to members and their families, while turning premiums into charitable impact. Members should meet with Paul, a brother Knight and parishioner at St Philip, to customize a program to fit your family’s needs.
