Play it Forward Music Camp is a week-long mentorship program for upcoming seventh graders through outgoing 12th graders. Our mission is to educate, engage, encourage and evangelize students, as well as give them opportunities to share their artistic gifts and discern how they can be involved now in music ministry. There will be instruction in music and liturgy, as well as daily prayer opportunities. Students can choose an elective such as our Bell Ensemble and a drama track called Scenes, songwriting, videography, and sound, as well as fun musical activities like Dion’s drum circle, Talent Night, and open jam sessions. We will have professionals from the music industry speak and inspire students to open their minds and see that the possibilities of creating are unlimited. We will also offer opportunities for evening private lessons. The whole week will be working toward the Friday evening concert as part of the St. Philip Summer Concerts in the Courtyard Series and close on Sunday with a Mass and a commissioning.
