Singing Rooster

A partnership with Singing Rooster.org allows St. Philip to support our own Haiti ministries while creating direct economic opportunities for Haitian farmers and artists. By selling ethically sourced Haitian coffee, chocolate, and oil drum art through church events, our gift shop, and new cafe, we will raise funds for our own Haiti projects while ensuring that small producers receive fair prices for their work. It’s a simple way to turn everyday purchases into lasting impact—strengthening both local ministry efforts and Haitian communities at the same time.

For more than 15 years, Singing Rooster.org has worked alongside small-scale coffee and cacao farmers and artisan communities across Haiti, helping them build sustainable livelihoods through fair trade, market access, and long-term partnerships. As a nonprofit social enterprise, Singing Rooster purchases products directly from producers, helps bring them to market in the United States, and reinvests proceeds into community-led development projects. By connecting consumers directly with Haitian-grown coffee, chocolate, and handcrafted art, Singing Rooster creates economic opportunities that strengthen families, communities, and rural economies throughout Haiti. One of God’s greatest gifts is the universal character of the Church, blessing and calling us to live in solidarity with our sisters and brothers in faith throughout the world. Sister Parish relationships help parishes to live out Catholic social teaching. St. Philip’s “Sister Parish” relationship with St. Charles Borromeo in LeBorgne, Haiti dates back to the 1970s. On the first Sunday of the month our second collection is for the Haiti Ministry. In addition to raising funds, our Haiti Ministry actively works with the people of St. Charles helping them in many concrete ways.
